This
web site -
'Sparkspin' - was launched in 2001, to pose the hypothetical
question:- "What would be the result if the strange phenomenon
of Sonoluminescence could be perfectly chained, as a physical
string of closely-spaced "S.L."
bubble-collapse events?" Please engage brain...
Here
also is some of the art, music and guitar building of the author.
May
2005 - Steve Acworth
showed that Sonoluminescence probably
doesn't involve the fusion process (because there
is no detectable neutron emission) but I have left this site
as written and developed to show the thinking process. Nobody
truly understands the mechanism involved within the single-bubble
sonoluminescence collapse event any more than anybody truly
understands Quantum (which in itself is completely counter-intuitive
but we use it all of the time in our everyday lives). The hypothesis
as illustrated within these pages suggests that it might be
possible to "drive" sonoluminescence, to usefully extract power
from the phenomenon without the need to know the exact nature
of its operation. Here described is a hand-held device with
an all-mechanical manual control linkage (no digital electronics
involved) assembly sketched here
with schematics and animations.
